Campus-IT-Support

For all IT matters, the colleagues at the Service Point and Helpdesk of the IT Service Center are there for you. Whether you have questions, would like to express requests, or need support with problems.

Service Point

You may have already be aware of our new Service Point. This is your first point of contact for on-site enquiries and standard cases, such as setting up devices or resolving simple errors. For more complex issues, we will forward your request to the relevant department, e.g., the helpdesk or technical or software support.

The Service Point's range of tasks includes setting up eduroam, Office 365, VPN/proxy, email, and FollowMe printing, as well as creating certificates.

Helpdesk

The helpdesk handles all incoming enquiries, regardless of whether they are submitted via email, the support form, phone, or in person. Your concerns are documented and dealt with either directly or by being forwarded to the appropriate technical or software support team and the relevant specialist departments.

Technical support for UBT employees includes hardware advice, installations, defect analysis, initiating repair measures, and the proper disposal of devices used for work purposes. For UBT students, ITS continues to offer competent and fast assistance free of charge. You can find the full range of services under Student-Support.

Opening hours: service point & helpdesk

Monday – Friday: 08:30 – 11:00 o'clock
Monday – Thursday: 13:30 – 15:30 o'clock

Except on public holidays and the Christmas closing time!

ITS-Chatbot

For simpler enquiries and outside of normal working hours as well as on weekends, our ITS chatbot may also be able to assist you.

The chatbot complies with the provisions of the GDPR. However, please do not enter any personal data such as names, user IDs, or passwords.

Remote maintenance (Teamviewer)

We are happy to help you with any problems or troubleshooting via remote maintenance. With your consent, we can view and control your user interface remotely, provided that both you and we have the remote maintenance programme open. Please download the latest version of Teamviewer.

Rest assured that we are also available by phone so that you can ask questions at any time, even if we are not on site with you!
