The laptop won't start anymore? The external hard drive is no longer recognised? Even after closing the 250 open browser tabs is your PC still too slow?
The ITS offers competent and quick help in such (and many other) cases - free of charge to all students at the University of Bayreuth!
Feel free to come by during our opening hours, no appointment necessary:
Monday - Friday: 8:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

- Smartphones, cell phones and tablets, or devices with iOS, Android, WebOS, Windows Phone, Windows Mobile, Bada or Symbian
- Multimedia devices in general (e.g. iPod, digicam, PSP ...)
- Peripheral devices with hardware defects (e.g. monitors, printers, scanners, ...)
- Damage caused by external influences (e.g. liquid/fall and overvoltage damage, ...)
- Problems with external internet access (e.g. DSL, UMTS, ...)
- Problems with internet access in the dormitories
This offer is not intended to compete with commercial providers. Therefore, only devices used exclusively or primarily by a student at the University of Bayreuth can be processed. Employees of the IT service center will decide on a case-by-case basis whether processing is possible or sensible. The service catalogue is intended to provide only a rough overview. Employees only offer personal advice on site and accept cases during the opening hours of the Student-Support - telephone support is not possible. The IT service center cannot guarantee success and cannot be held liable for any loss of data or damage. Necessary spare parts are only recommended; the students are responsible for obtaining them themselves. Employees cannot prepare any reports either.
