What should I do if I have forgotten my password?

Students can reset their password themselves.
If you have forgotten your password or your PIN has expired:

• Go to the CampusOnline homepage: https://campusonline.uni-bayreuth.de

• Click on the “Reset password” button on the page.

• Enter your matriculation number or the confirmed e-mail address for identification purposes and click on “Continue”.

• You will receive an e-mail with a PIN code or a link. If you receive a PIN code, enter it on the login page. If you receive a link, follow it and the instructions

Please note that it can take up to 30 minutes for the new password to be synchronized everywhere.

There are various ways for employees of the University of Bayreuth to obtain a new password:

• Visit the website https://portal.its.uni-bayreuth.de  Enter your BT ID in the “User name” input field and select the “Forgot password” button. The new password will then be sent to you by internal mail to the chair or your organizational unit.
• Alternatively, you can come to the ITS helpdesk in person with your employee ID card. We will generate a new password and give you the control printout directly.
• The third option would be to send an e-mail to its-beratung@uni-bayreuth.de Attach a photo of a valid ID document. We will then send you the new control printout to the e-mail address you have provided.
